Alex Tighe

I am a senior elite gymnast currently living in Philadelphia, PA. I received my early training from Stacy Maloney, Andrei Kan, and Alex Belanovski at Swiss Turner's in West Allis, Wisconsin. After completing high school where I won numerous state, regional, and national awards, I took my gymnastics to Temple University to compete at the collegiate level. During my time as a Temple Owl, I gained valuable experience and exposure to the gymnastics world competing in not only every collegiate meet during my four year tenure, but also through qualifying into prestigious events such as the U.S.A National Championships, Winter Cup Finals, and NCAA Championships. I finished my four-year eligibility as an NCAA Division I gymnast at Temple University in April 2013 under the guidance of legendary coach Fred Turoff and assistant coach Patrick McLaughlin. With my NCAA career complete, I now look to continue my athlete endeavors as a "professional" in the sport, competing at the highest levels possible. I take great pride in learning skills that set me apart from other gymnasts and turn heads in the arena: innovation and clean lines are two qualities that are apparent on each of my respective apparatus. When not in the gym, I am busy finishing my undergraduate studies in applied mathematics and Spanish language where I maintain a 3.93 GPA. Outside of gymnastics and the classroom, I'm a typical weekend warrior that can be found riding my bike and running on trails around the city. I hope you'll take a few minutes to look around my site and please feel free to contact me about any questions you may have. Thanks for looking!
